PHA launches daily tree washing
LAHORE:The Parks and Horticulture Authority Lahore has intensified its efforts to enhance the city’s beauty and greenery as temperatures continue to rise.
In a proactive move, the authority has launched daily tree washing across Lahore to ensure proper upkeep of trees and plants during the hot weather. PHA Director General M Tahir Wattoo has issued clear instructions to all horticulture directors to ensure that plants, trees and seasonal flowers in parks, greenbelts and along main roads are watered regularly in the morning and evening. This initiative aims to minimise the harsh effects of the scorching heat on urban vegetation. Meanwhile, Parks and Horticulture Authority has completed the planting of seasonal flower saplings across all major city roads.
