NCA holds seminar on dangers of drug abuse
LAHORE: The National College of Arts (NCA) organised an awareness seminar to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and its social and legal consequences.
The event aimed to equip young individuals with knowledge to safeguard themselves and their surroundings from this growing menace.
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Punjab Regional Director Commander Brig Sikander Hayat was the chief guest on this occasion.
Addressing the students, he highlighted that drug addiction does not just harm an individual but can lead to the downfall of an entire society. He elaborated on different types of drugs, reasons behind their usage, and preventive measures. He emphasised that an informed and conscious youth is the key to a healthy and progressive nation.
NCA Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Murtaza Jafri encouraged students to channel their energy into meaningful pursuits like hard work, truthfulness, and ambition instead of temporary highs that fade within hours.
