Militants open fire on police van

SWABI: Unidentified militants opened fire on a police patrolling van at Dua Mor in Gadoon Amazai mountainous regions in Swabi district on Friday.
The van was on its way to Utla Police Station when it suddenly came under fire from the top of the mountain at Dua Mor, said officials, adding that police retaliated with full strength, forcing the militants to escape.
No casualties were reported and police launched a search operation in the area after the incident.At least three police personnel were injured when militants attacked on Utla Police Station a day earlier.
