PM approves promotion of 700 officers to Grade 20, 21
Promotion notifications of officers of PAS, Police Service of Pakistan and Secretariat Group are likely to be issued today
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the promotion of 700 officers from all service groups and federal departments, including Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service and Secretariat Group, from Grade 19 to 20 and from 20 to 21.
The Central Selection Board had approved the recommendations for the promotions two months ago in a meeting held under the chairmanship of FPSC chairman from March 11 to 14. These recommendations were sent to the prime minister for final approval. The Establishment Division has sent the promotion summaries of officers of other service groups and ministries to the Auditor General of Pakistan, FBR and other ministries for notifications. However, the promotion notifications of officers of Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan and Secretariat Group are likely to be issued today.
According to sources, along with the promotion of officers of the three service groups, new postings will also be made. The posting plan has been sent to the Prime Minister’s Office for approval.
