Civil, military officers condole Laghari’s martyrdom

SUKKUR: Civil and military officers and elected representatives visited Ghotki and offered condolences to the family of Mukhtiar Ahmed Laghari who was martyred in Indian drone attack.

Among the dignitaries who paid their respects were Major General Shehryar Qureshi, GOC of Pano Aqil Cantonment, Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Khan Dharejo, MPA Sardar Nadir Akmal Lagharia, Sukkur commissioner and others.

Addressing the gathering, GOC Major General Shehryar Qureshi stated, “Shaheed Mukhtiar Ahmed Laghari is a national hero whose sacrifice will not go in vain. The armed forces of Pakistan stand united against all acts of aggression and will respond with full strength to protect our motherland.”

Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo praised the role of armed forces in defeating the enemy. He assured people of the area that Sindh government will extend all out support to the family of Shaheed Mukhtiar Ahmed Laghari.

The condolence visit reflected the unity and resolve of the nation in the face of foreign aggression, with vows to honour the sacrifices of its martyrs with pride and unwavering patriotism.

Respectively, Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Akramullah Dharejo, along with the Commandant of 34th Brigade Brigadier Asad, visited Fayyaz Jafri s/o of Qadir Bakhsh Jafri, a resident of village Saifal Khan Jafri, who was injured in a drone attack three days ago, at Ziauddin Hospital Sukkur and presented a bouquet of flowers.

The provincial minister said that besides providing financial assistance to the heirs of those martyred in Indian attacks, the government will also bear the cost of treatment of the injured.
