Gilani pays tribute to fallen soldiers of Russia
Gilani acknowledged immense sacrifices of those brave soldiers who laid down their lives in defence of Russia

MOSCOW: Chairman Senate Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday paid homage at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in Moscow during his visit to Russia.
According to the Senate Secretariat, he laid a floral wreath at the memorial in honour of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War II. Gilani acknowledged the immense sacrifices of those brave soldiers who laid down their lives in defence of Russia. In keeping with the tradition, he observed a moment of silence as a mark of respect for the fallen heroes.
This gesture by the chairman Senate was deeply appreciated by the Russian people reflecting the strong bond of friendship between Pakistan and Russia, the statement said.
