Protests staged for release of PTI founder, others
KHAR: On the call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial president Junaid Akbar Khan, the party activists on Monday staged rallies at various places and demanded the release of party founder Imran Khan and other incarcerated PTI leaders.
Protest demonstrations were organised despite heavy rain and hailstorm where the participants sought release of PTI leaders.One protest rally was led by PTI activist and Nazim Dr Khalil-ur-Rehman at Laghari Bazaar, while former lawmaker Gul Zafar Khan led another protest at Shago Chowk in Mamond.
A large number of PTI workers, office bearers, members of the Insaf Students Federation (ISF), youth wing and people participated in these rallies.Protesters demanded the immediate release of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and other detainees. They said that the country needed a farsighted political leader like Imran Khan to make the nation strong and united. They pledged to render any sacrifice for the release of Imran Khan and others.
Former MNA Gul Zafar Khan, Youth Wing president Najeebullah Mamond and others addressed the PTI rally at the Shago Chowk and expressed their determination to continue the struggle until justice was dispensed.They congratulated the people of Pakistan on the victory against India and paid tribute to the armed forces.
