Minister promises budget for UC-level uplift schemes in Karachi
The Sindh government in its upcoming budget for the financial year 2025-26 will allocate maximum financial resources for various health, education and civic infrastructure-related uplift schemes to be undertaken at the union committee-level in Karachi.
Sindh Planning and Development Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah gave this assurance on Sunday as a meeting was held at his residence attended by lawmakers of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party.
Sindh Planning and Development Board Chairman Najam Shah briefed the participants of the meeting on the ongoing development schemes in Karachi. The meeting discussed the proposed Karachi-based uplift schemes to be included in upcoming Sindh government's budget. The planning and development minister assured the participants of the meeting that ongoing uplift schemes in Karachi would be completed at the earliest.
