Woman ‘kills self’ after quarrel with husband

A 35-year-old woman reportedly committed suicide by shooting herself after a quarrel with her husband in Yar Mohammad Goth, Mochko, Baldia Town. Shehnaz Kamran was a mother of six.

Police said the incident occurred at the couple’s home. The body was taken to Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi. Mochko SHO Faisal Latif said Shehnaz was the first wife of Kamran, an estate agent who had married a second time three years ago.

The officer said Kamran has six children from the deceased, and one child from the second wife. He said the couple reportedly quarrelled late at night, and by morning Shehnaz allegedly used her husband’s pistol to shoot herself. While the initial evidence suggests the incident is a suicide, police have taken Kamran into custody for questioning.
