1,979 female cops complete training courses
LAHORE : The passing out parade of 1,979 female police officers who completed their training courses held at Police Training College, Chung, Lahore.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman, graced the ceremony as the chief guest and addressed the passing out female police officers. Among the passing out officers were 1487 Lady Executive Police, 255 Traffic Assistants, 134 PHP, and 103 SPU female police officers.
The ceremony was also attended by Joint Director General IB Moin Habib Khan. While addressing the passing out female officers, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar mentioned that Punjab Police, with over 220,000 personnel, is the largest single-command civilian force in the world. The brave and valiant Punjab Police faces new challenges every moment. There is no day in the year when Punjab Police personnel have not written history with their blood for the country and nation.
Whether in times of war or peace, Punjab Police stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces and security agencies for the nation’s survival and security. As the challenges have increased, the enemies have changed, and today, Punjab Police is confronting terrorists and extremists. In Punjab, we, in uniform, have taken the lead in facing terrorists and have defeated them decisively. The largest batch of female officer recruits in the history of Punjab Police has now passed out. These passing out officers will carry out key duties in law and order, security, crime fighting, and public service delivery. The brave officers, who fight against the system and evil, will have to win the battle to bring justice to the oppressed.
Last year in Sialkot, thanks to the wisdom of a lady constable, we were able to capture terrorists of a neighboring country. During field duty, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, poice force should protect women and children from all forms of exploitation.
On this occasion, Commandant Police Training College Chung Lahore, DIG Mehboob Aslam Lillah, presented the vote of thanks, and SP Academic Bushra Jameel took the oath from the officers. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that IG Punjab inspected the passing out parade. The police officers who completed their training also did marched past.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed awards among the female police officers who demonstrated excellent performance. Commandant of the college DIG Mehboob Aslam Lillah presented souvenirs to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and Joint Director General IB Moin Habib Khan.
