Rallies staged to pledge support to armed forces

DIR/LANDIKOTAL/KOHAT: Rallies were taken out in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday in support of the armed forces in the wake of warmongering from India.

In Dir, a rally was organized in Barawal tehsil against India for suspending the Indus Water Treaty in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack. The protesters chanted slogans against the Indian government for its baseless allegations against Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam attack.

Several local people, elders, peace committee members, including Malik Shad, Fateh Rahman, Mufti Muhammad Ismail and other figures, attended the rally. The speakers said that India had no right to suspend the Indus Water Treaty, adding that New Delhi was putting pressure on Islamabad to hide its security failure.

They said that the armed forces had the ability and the power to defend the motherland in case of any misadventure. The participants said that the people stood by the armed forces at this critical juncture.

In Landikotal, a rally was held to condemn the Indian threats against Pakistan and to pledge unwavering support to the armed forces in the face of Indian aggression. Some locals, elected representatives, traders and members of the civil society attended the rally, which was organized in Landikotal Bazaar. They criticized the Indian government for hurling threats at Pakistan and expressed solidarity with the armed forces.

The participants holding placards inscribed with slogans in favour of Pakistan and its armed forces raised slogans against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Social figures, including Malik Khalid Afridi, Wali Muhammad Shinwari, Sajid Ali Afridi, social activist Muhammad Islam Shinwari, Kaleemullah Shinwari, Sher Afridi and others addressed the rally.

They said that the nation stood united and would foil the conspiracies being hatched by the enemies.In Kohat, protests were held across the district as religious leaders, social activists, political figures, traders, and schoolchildren united to condemn Indian aggression.

Demonstrators gathered at key locations, including outside Kohat Press Club and along Hangu Road, chanting slogans against India.Leading the protests, prominent spiritual leader Pir Bashir Hussain Bangash stated that Pakistan’s armed forces and its people stood ready to defend the nation against any Indian military adventurism.

“India may pursue its desire for aggression, but just like before, the Pakistani nation and its armed forces are fully prepared on every front,” he said.Social activist Pir Mustafa Ali criticized India for suspending the Indus Water Treaty. He said that India should avoid blaming Pakistan for the recent attack and respond positively to Islamabad’s offer of a joint probe into the incident to establish facts.
