Islamabad:In a late-night encounter in the Tarnol area, Islamabad police arrested two suspects following a brazen act of firing upon law enforcement officers, while, remaining three gunmen managed to flee-away. Different police teams have been deputed to hunt down remaining three gangsters at large.
Authorities have revealed that these individuals are linked to a significant number of serious crimes across the capital, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat rising criminal activity. According to police reports, the incident unfolded during a routine patrol within the jurisdiction of the Tarnol Police Station. Officers signaled five gangsters riding suspicious motorbikes to halt. Instead of complying, the motorcyclists immediately opened fire on the police.
Demonstrating remarkable bravery and swift action, the officers from Tarnol Police Station managed to subdue and arrest two suspects despite the gunfire. Thankfully, due to precautionary measures taken by the police, no officers sustained injuries during the exchange. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the arrested individuals were fleeing towards Tarnol after allegedly committing a snatching incident within the jurisdiction of the Golra Police Station. Upon their arrest, police recovered a motorcycle and two 30-bore pistols from their possession. Shockingly, authorities have disclosed that a staggering fourteen cases of serious crimes are already registered against these two suspects in Islamabad.
In the aftermath of the incident, Islamabad police have launched extensive raids to apprehend any accomplices of the arrested individuals who may still be at large.
