Providing better treatment facilities to patients responsibility of MS
LAHORE: Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique made a surprise visit to Mayo Hospital to review the situation. The provincial minister visited different wards and met the patients.
He expressed his strong anger over the non-functioning elevators of the Eye Department. The minister directed the C&W department to complete the work of the lifts as soon as possible. Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique directed MS Mayo Hospital to ensure the supply of medicines and to immediately auction the unusable equipment.
The minister said that providing better treatment facilities to patients in the hospital is the primary responsibility of MS. MS has been directed to submit an implementation report after correcting the issues in Mayo Hospital.
The problems reported by the patients should be resolved immediately. He said that problems are being identified and guided in the hospitals on a daily basis. Medical facilities are being provided without interruption in government hospitals. Instructions have been given to display lists of medicines in every ward. A queue management system is being fully activated in government hospitals. Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique directed for making announcements about medicines and other services in the emergency ward and OPD.
