MIRANSHAH: A five-year-old boy was injured when a toy-like explosive device detonated in Dosali tehsil of North Waziristan on Tuesday, police sources said.
The sources said that the blast occurred in the Jamalkhel Nullah area.The child, identified as Marwan, picked up an object resembling a toy. Moments later, it exploded, leaving him wounded.
Local police said the nature of the explosive suggested that it was a toy bomb.The injured was rushed to a hospital in Miranshah in critical condition. The police launched an investigation into the incident.
