Bilawal visits Taj Haider’s home to offer condolences

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday visited the DHA residence of senior PPP leader Senator Taj Haider, who passed away recently.

Bilawal met with Haider’s widow Naheed Wasi, and offers his condolences. He also prayed for the soul of the departed. On the occasion he praised the political services of Haider. He said the PPP leader remained steadfast in his struggle for the survival and the restoration of democracy in Pakistan since his joining the PPP until his last breath.

He also said Haider’s literary, social and academic services formed an unforgettable chapter of the country’s history. The late senator embodied an institution in himself, and his death has caused an irreparable loss to the PPP, he added.

Bilawal also held a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Sindh General Secretary Waqar Mehdi and Information Secretary Aajiz Dhamrah at the Bilawal House to discuss political, party and administrative affairs.

In another meeting with Senior Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and PPP Parliamentarians Information Secretary Shazia Marri, Bilawal discussed possible strategies to promote a pro-people and pro-democracy narrative among the people of the province.

The PPP chief also met the party’s MPA Sohail Anwar Siyal, who discussed the issues being faced by the people in his electoral constituency in Larkana and the possible solutions to these problems. Bilawal also met Sukkur Mayor Arsalan Islam Shaikh, who also serves as a spokesman for the provincial government. The meeting discussed the political and administrative issues of the city.
