Islamabad:In a significant stride toward equitable science education, the Ministry of Federal Education has launched a new set of (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) STEM textbooks across 431 public schools in Islamabad.

The initiative, a collaborative effort between Science Fuse and Taleemabad, marks the culmination of seven years of dedicated work to reimagine science learning for all, according to officials.

They said the textbooks, developed with the support of the Federal Directorate of Education and endorsed by former secretary of education ministry Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, were grounded in Science Capital research and brought to life through relatable characters like Gul and Rani, along with engaging hands-on experiments.

The officials said the books, published by the National Book Foundation, were designed to ignite curiosity and make high-quality science education more accessible, particularly for underrepresented communities.

They said the rollout was the beginning of a transformative journey, aimed at nurturing the next generation of scientific minds—visionaries in the spirit of Nobel laureate Abdus Salam and renowned astrophysicist Nergis Mavalvala.
