17,000 cops perform Easter security duties

LAHORE:Punjab Police made comprehensive security arrangements to safeguard Easter celebrations across the province, ensuring the safety of the Christian community.

According to a police spokesperson, over 17,000 officers were deployed for 2,594 Easter programmes, including 4,000 personnel for 622 events in Lahore alone additional forces, snipers, and commandos were stationed at sensitive churches, with entry allowed only after thorough checking and identification.
