LDA continues drive against encroachments

LAHORE : LDA’s special campaign against encroachments continued on Saturday and operation was carried out in Sabzazar and Allama Iqbal Town continued for the sixth day. LDA heavy machinery and enforcement squad participated in the operation.

LDA teams conducted operations against encroachments in different blocks of Sabzazar and Allama Iqbal Town. LDA DG Tahir Farooq visited different blocks of Sabzazar Scheme. He reviewed the ongoing special campaign against encroachments in LDA schemes.

On this occasion, LDA DG said that citizens should remove their encroachments on their own. Sheds, fences and temporary encroachments will also be removed from residential areas. An operation will also be carried out soon in other LDA schemes.

LDA DG said that LDA teams have conducted operations in 14 blocks of Sabzazar and three blocks of Allama Iqbal Town, and operations against encroachments will be conducted in all the remaining blocks. The previous day, LDA conducted operations in Zeenat Block, Ravi Block and Rachna Block of Allama Iqbal Town.

During the operation, sheds, fences and temporary encroachments were demolished from several houses. Tahir Farooq directed to clear encroachments from all the blocks in a phased manner.
