LAHORE
Humid weather continued to prevail in the provincial capital here Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for Friday (today).
On Thursday, the provincial metropolis witnessed a humidity level of 54 percent while maximum temperature remained 34°C. Met officials said low pressure lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas.
They said weak moist currents from Arabian Sea were penetrating into northeastern parts of Balochistan and its adjoining areas.
They said a westerly wave is affecting western parts of the KP and its adjoining areas.
Met officials predicted a mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country. However, rain/dust-thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Peshawar, Bannu, Malakand, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall was recorded in other cities, including Parachinar, Malam Jabba, Lower Dir, Balakot, Jhang and Gilgit.
