Kashif, Samiullah star in Atiq Estate’s triumph

KARACHI: Left-arm spinners Kashif Siddiqui (4-6) and Samiullah (3-14) bowled Atiq Estate to a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Sojhula Cricket Club in their Group B encounter of the 31st Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan Festival Twenty20 here at the Karachi Gymkhana on Wednesday.

The two left-armers returned astonishing combined figures of seven for 20 off 7.5 overs to bowl Sojhula CC all out for just 63 in 18.5 overs. They lost all their 10 wickets for only 27 runs after a 36-run opening stand between Jahanzeb Sultan (25 off 27 balls) and Arshad Baloch (16 off 20).

Atiq Estate lost three wickets on their way to the target in just 9.5 overs. Opener Daniyal Ahsan led the chase with 30 off 21 balls, striking one six and four fours. The Man of the Match award, however, was clinched by Kashif.
