Gangster killed in Lyari
A gang war operative was killed in Lyari’s Usmanabad area, while a man was injured in a separate shooting incident near Garden Signal on Monday.
According to police, a gang war between rival factions broke out near the Mill Area resulting in the death of one gang member. The police and rescue teams arrived at the scene, and the body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), where the victim was identified as 20-year-old Waleed, son of Abdullah.
Initial investigations revealed that Waleed had ties to the Mullah Nisar gang involved in the ongoing Lyari gang war. The incident was believed to be the result of an internal gang dispute. Waleed had a criminal record and had been previously arrested in several cases, including terrorism-related offenses.
The police sources further revealed that Waleed had been in an ongoing phone argument for the past two days. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation over the phone when unidentified assailants opened fire and fled the scene. The police had seized the victim’s mobile phone for further investigation.
