SC seeks record in ex-CJP misbehaviour case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday sought the whole record of the former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s misbehaviour case.

The five-member larger bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik and

 Justice Faisal Arab, heard the case. Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed remarked that the court did not accept the unconditional apology tendered by police officials who had misbehaved with the former CJP.

He remarked that the court would proceed further after reviewing the whole record of the case. The counsel for the petitioner told the court that without evidence no one could be convicted.Later, hearing of the case was adjourned for an indefinite period.
