Pouring heart in verses
Mera Dost is a collection of poems of Naveed Ahmad with an array of love and hope. Divided into several pages, from love to the break-up.
It is all about falling in love madly, getting hurt deeply, bearing all the pain in darkness. Still finding hope and waiting for a miracle to heal the broken heart, waiting for the love, makes the poet feel at home. Every poem holds a tale, which tells about love and its beauty, and the beautiful feeling about it, and some tell about betrayal in love, breaking of bonds, and trust.
Some tell about pains of a broken heart, some tell about the two souls who are missing each other every time they remember each other, and some tell about the beauty of friendship. Some poems tell about the situation when a person cries for the unworthy person who is not worthy of his tears, when instead of weeping he should understand the situation and find a worthy soul for himself and stop crying for unworthy people and light the candle of hope. The poems in the book are in a very easy language and with all emotions that can be felt by everyone who has experienced love, pain, betrayal, and a relationship in their lives. I felt that sometimes the poet has poured his soul to weave this book of poetry that inspires people to love and see the real beauty and experience from the lines of the poem, how it feels when they are in love and pain.
This book is a collection of poems that focuses on love and hope, where each poem has one particular emotion like love, betrayal, pain, and hope. All the poems are simple and lucid. All the poems are short and the emotions behind the poems are beautiful. Some verses talk about humans without whom you cannot pass a day and live your life. Love is not just about sex or sharing a physical bond, rather it is about understanding, trust, and feelings.
Some poems portray the emotions of persons in love, how it feels when their love is betrayed, and how to overcome this heartbreak, how to believe in themselves and hope to find someone who loves them the way they love them. Reading something that makes you calm and gives a deep satisfaction and the real true self is always a beautiful moment. I found a friend when I got this book. I was surprised because it came with a letter that reflects me as myself. When I dive into this sea of words, I find love, hope, care, yearning, friendship and much more. I liked the concept of the book because the poet did not move an inch from the topic. He has poured his heart into poems.
