Cop kills two ‘robbers in self-defence’ on Sharea Faisal

A police constable shot and killed two suspected robbers near Awami Markaz on Sharea Faisal on Saturday.
According to police, Hasnat Mehmood, a constable posted at the SSP East office, was traveling on Sharea Faisal near Lal Qila when two armed robbers intercepted him and attempted to loot him. When he resisted, the robbers opened fire at him. In response, the constable used his licensed pistol and shot both suspects, killing them on the spot.
The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where one of the deceased suspects was identified as Aizaz Ali, while his accomplice remained unidentified.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
