ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s rising tennis star Mikaeel Ali Baig has made a remarkable breakthrough, reaching the singles and doubles finals of the ITF J-30 Colombo tournament in Sri Lanka.
In the semi-final, Mikaeel delivered a commanding performance, defeating Fu Wang Choi of Hong Kong, the third seed of the tournament, with a score of 6-4, 6-2. Mikaeel also advanced to the final of the boys’ doubles event alongside his Spanish partner, Oscar Cases Mas. The duo secured an impressive victory over Fu Wang Choi (HKG) and Devesh Sarawanan (MAS) with a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4,10-5 win in the semi-finals.
