KARACHI: Hanif Khan Hockey Club defeated Youth Hockey Club in the final of the KHA Ramadan Mubarak Inter-Club Hockey Championship at the Olympian Hanif Khan and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah Sports Complex.
Asim Khan of Hanif Khan Club scored on a penalty stroke in the last moments of the game to win the match for his team. For the first time in the history of domestic hockey in Karachi, a female umpire, Kashmala Batool, supervised the entire tournament including the final.
The best player and best goalkeeper of the championship awards went to Saad Ali and Abdul Rafay of the Youth Club. Don Bosco HC and Al-Sagheer Hockey Club jointly received the Fair Play Trophy.
