‘Illegal’ structures demolished

PESHAWAR: On the directives of the provincial government, the authorities launched a large-scale operation against illegal housing societies here on Tuesday.
During the crackdown, Banori Villas, located in Malkandhir, Regi Lalma, was demolished using heavy machinery. The authorities stated that no housing society can be established without obtaining a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Officials further warned other unauthorised housing schemes, including Nasir Bagh Enclave, Malik Amir Town and Judge Colony to complete their registration in the next phase, otherwise, strict legal action would be taken against them.
