LAHORE:In a landmark move towards environmental restoration and sustainability, Green Yakeen, an ambitious plantation drive under the Heal Pakistan initiative, was inaugurated on Monday.
It is a strategic collaboration between NESPAK and Synergy Inc. to foster a sustainable and climate-resilient Pakistan. The ceremony was spearheaded by Zargham Eshaq Khan, Managing Director, NESPAK, and Ms Ambreen Sipra, CEO, Synergy Inc., alongside senior officials from NESPAK.
Jamshaid Faisal Janjua, the strategic curator of Heal Pakistan and Project Manager of various mega initiatives across Pakistan also attended the event. His remarks emphasised the urgent need for collective action. He said through strategic collaborations, we are not just fighting environmental degradation; we are securing a sustainable legacy for future generations.” The event also saw a strong show of support from the private sector, with Faraz, Head/Director PMO of a private group, attending as a guest of honour. Addressing the event, he said he wanted to see the skies and it can only be achieved through these collaborative efforts. "Green Yakeen is not just about planting trees; it’s about planting hope for a better tomorrow," stated Ms Ambreen Sipra. Zargham Eshaq Khan reiterated NESPAK’s unwavering commitment to green infrastructure and sustainability-driven initiatives.
Qalandars launch tree plantation drive
Lahore Qalandars have launched a large-scale tree plantation drive in an effort to promote environmental awareness and combat climate change. The campaign began with a special tree plantation event at the UMT campus. This initiative is part of the franchise’s strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and its mission to contribute to a healthier and greener Pakistan.
The plantation activity took place on March 21, right after the Friends of Qalandars MoU signing ceremony. The event was a reminder of the need to protect the environment.
