LAHORE: Pakistan and Bangladesh have decided to remove the One-Day International (ODI) matches from their white-ball series which is scheduled to take place in May.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have mutually agreed to eliminate the ODI leg of Bangladesh’s tour to Pakistan. Sources indicate that both boards took the upcoming T20 World Cup into consideration and jointly decided to replace the ODIs with T20 matches.
As per the originally planned Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh were slated to play a series of three ODIs and three T20Is in Pakistan. However, in the revised schedule, the Bangladesh team will now play five T20 International matches.
