BATKHELA: Jamaat-e-Islam (JI) leader Inayatullah Khan has expressed grave concerns over the growing lawlessness in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Addressing a press conference, Inayatullah Khan, who is the head of the party for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, criticised the federal government for its inattention to the region’s security situation, stressing that the province cannot endure further bloodshed.
He lamented that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been suffering from instability for the past 25 years, and the current provincial government’s lack of seriousness and corruption has further aggravated the crisis. “The people are constantly facing hardships due to the chief minister’s incompetence and corrupt policies,” he added.
During the press conference, Jamaat-e-Islami’s provincial general secretary Muhammad Haleem and other leaders were also present.Inayatullah Khan said that Jamaat-e-Islami would not remain silent until peace is restored. He warned that if the government failed to act, the public would take to the streets in protest. “On one hand, innocent people are being killed, while on the other, the chief minister is busy playing tennis.
