PSB says it doesn’t recognise Pakistan Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation
KARACHI: Pakistan Sports Board has stated that it does not recognise the Pakistan Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation and Sarwar Butt.
“Consequently, any communication or decisions issued by Sarwar Butt regarding sport of kabaddi have no legal or administrative validity whatsoever and should be disregarded in entirety by all stakeholders, including sports federations, departments, and athletes,” stated M Waqar Ahmed, Assistant Director NF. The PSB explained that it has come to the notice of the PSB that Sarwar Butt is claiming to be the Secretary General of the so-called Pakistan Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation.
“This entity is falsely using the name ‘Pakistan’ and portraying itself as a Kabaddi Federation despite not being recognized by the PSB. “These actions are in violation of the proviso to Article 7(1)(xxxiii), Article 21(4), and Article 22 of the PSB Constitution 2022, which explicitly restricts the use of Pakistan’s name and the conduct of sports activities to federations that are not duly affiliated and recognized by PSB,” stated the PSB.
