Earlier this week, a gunman reportedly attacked a civilian at the Dharampura Beijing Underpass in Lahore, opening fire before fleeing the scene. I salute the brave individual who stood his ground with courage, fearlessly confronting the armed assailant despite the risk to his own life. Such acts of violence are unacceptable and must not go unpunished.
A thorough legal investigation should be conducted to bring the perpetrators to justice. I strongly condemn this heinous act and urge the authorities to take swift action to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.
