ATC extends Bushra Bibi’s interim bail
Petitioner’s lawyer requested the court to direct investigating officer to interrogate Bushra Bibi in jail
ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday extended Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in two cases registered in connection with the November 26 protest.
Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain conducted the hearing during which former first lady’s lawyers Ansar Kayani and Shamsa Kayani filed an application for Bushra Bibi’s exemption from attendance and conducting interrogation inside Adiala jail.
The petitioner’s lawyer requested the court to direct the investigating officer to interrogate Bushra Bibi in jail, upon which the court ordered that the IO should formally interrogate Bushra Bibi.
The court extended Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in the Secretariat police station case until April 28, while in the Karachi Company police station case her interim bail was extended until April 29.
