Hearing in GHQ attack case adjourned till April 9
"Terrorism is happening in the holy month of Ramazan" says former federal minister Zartaj Gul
RAWALPINDI: The special court of anti-terrorism Rawalpindi has adjourned the hearing of the May 9 GHQ attack case until April 9 without taking any action.
On Wednesday, the former chairman’s lawyer Faisal Malik appeared with the team at the hearing. According to the defence lawyer, we were told that due to court engagements, the hearing is being adjourned until April 9.
The hearing of the GHQ attack case was scheduled to be held in Adiala Jail, but in the morning it was told that the hearing will be held in the court instead of Adiala Jail.
Meanwhile, former federal minister Zartaj Gul, while talking to the media outside the court, said, “The situation is very bad. The incident with the Jaffar Express has happened. We always say that we stand with our forces. Terrorism is happening in the holy month of Ramazan. Terrorism is a problem that has been imposed on Pakistan. Our police and our forces’ soldiers, our brothers or civilians are being martyred. We are suffering, we all feel the pain. I am talking about the government, which is extremely incompetent, ineffective, and unserious.”
She claimed, “They gave ministries to such ministers as if the herds had been divided. The loot of the ministers has been distributed. It seems like the performance of the government is zero, their law and order situation is very bad and they are not controlling anything. There is a storm of inflation across the country during Ramazan. This inflation is also not being controlled by them. No one is safe in Balochistan, KP, Sindh, Punjab, even Islamabad, and all this is happening because of this incompetent government.”
She said, “I feel sorry for the terrorism in the country. During the tenure of the former chairman, all this was not the case. Our leader is neither being allowed to talk to the children nor is he being allowed to meet us. The government’s performance for one year is only personal revenge politics of this incompetent government.”
