Dr Asim levels serious allegations against Owais Muzaffar Tappi
‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’ on Thursday
KARACHI: A video of Dr Asim has appeared which has raised several questions, said Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News programme ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’ on Wednesday.
He said that in the said video, Dr Asim is levelling serious allegations against the foster brother of Asif Ali Zardari, Owais Muzaffar Tappi. He said that Dr Asim is seen in the video as saying that Owais Muzaffar Tappi had been involved in all kinds of corruption.
In a different segment of the programme, Shahzeb Khanzada, while commenting on the press conference of the Director-General of ISPR, said that the press conference of Lieutenant-General Asim Saleem Bajwa contained an answer to those people who used to oppose the operation against the terrorists in the country.
Lieutenant-General Asim Bajwa pointed out at the press conference the extent to which the terrorists had established their writ in Waziristan. In a still different segment of the programme, Shahzeb Khanzada said that the return of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to Pakistan indicates another beginning of politics of sit-in protests.
Commenting on Ayyan Ali’s case, Shahzeb Khanzada said that the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday first withdrew Ayyan’s name from the Exit Control List and then added it again.
Senior analyst Mazhar Abbas, while talking to Shahzeb Khanzada on the programme, said that during his meeting with Dr Asim sometime ago, he appeared to be unhappy with the People’s Party. Mazhar Abbas said that during the meeting Dr Asim had also referred to a video.
Another senior analyst Zahid Hussain said on the programme that there is a deep link between border management and the action against the terrorists in Pakistan. He said that India’s influence in Afghanistan has increased.
Yet another senior analyst Sohail Warriach said in the programme that if Tahir-ul-Qadri asks his workers they would stage a sit-in movement for months at a stretch. A law expert, Salman Akram Raja said on the programme that the people’s opinion on Ayyan Ali’s case is that just like other powerful people, she would be able to go abroad despite having been caught red-handed. He said that legally nobody can be stopped from going abroad merely on the grounds of a case having been registered against them.
An expert in economic affairs, Mohammad Sohail said on the programme that Pakistan’s having been included in the category of the rising stock market index is indeed a breakthrough, but we should not forget that we had been expelled from this list in 2008. He said the foreign investment in the stock market has increased in the last three or four weeks.
Minister on Privatization, Mohammad Zubair, said that Pakistan’s having been included in the category of rising market index, is a breakthrough. “It is a very important benchmark for us that Pakistan is now a part of rising markets,” he said.
