Tessori writes to acting SHC CJ to enforce order on heavy vehicles’ hours
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has written a second letter to the acting chief justice of the Sindh High Court (SHC) raising concerns over administrative negligence and legal violations leading to recurring fatal road traffic accidents in the city involving heavy transport vehicles.
A copy of the letter was issued to the media on Sunday, in which Tessori stated that the failure to enforce laws has become a major cause of accidents, with four fatalities occurring in a single day.
He emphasised that the high court had issued a clear ruling prohibiting heavy
traffic from entering the city between 7am and 11pm. Despite this directive, complaints of inconsistent enforcement of the directive had been continuously increasing, the
governor said. He expressed the hope that the SHC would ensure strict implementation of its orders to prevent further loss of lives in Karachi.
