You cheat, you lose
Unfortunately, cheating is a very common trend in the public-schools of Pakistan. Cheating negatively impacts students in various ways. It curbs students’ talents, puts their future at stake and makes them unable to compete with other students who do not cheat in the exams. Therefore, this trend of cheating must be nipped in the bud, so that the students may not be trapped in this menace again.
Recently, commendable steps have been taken by the government to eliminate cheating. However, it would have been better for these steps to have been implemented earlier in order to give students more time to adjust to the new rules. I would also suggest that education officials and the government help instil an anti-cheating mindset among students, emphasising hard work as the key to success. Hopefully, students will follow the suggestions that we give them. Moreover, there should be a monthly inspection by the director of education in public schools to maintain a system of checks and balances.
