Imran’s letter has shaken ‘fake’ govt, says Saif
PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Dr Muhammad Ali Saif on Thursday said that the letter of Imran Khan, the incarcerated founder of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), had created a panic among federal ministers.
In a statement, he said that even before the letter reached the authorities concerned, the federal ministers had launched a campaign of propaganda in response. “The fake government’s sanity has been shaken by a single letter,” said the CM, adding, “One can only imagine their state after Imran Khan’s release.”
He further warned that the federal government would be held accountable for what he termed its “wrongdoings and illegal actions.”
Barrister Saif accused the ruling coalition of causing irreversible damage to the country. “While people are struggling with hunger, these parties remain obsessed with power,” he stated, adding that the constitution and legal system were being disregarded in the pursuit of political control.
He made it clear that Imran Khan’s letter was not a confidential document but an open appeal addressing the challenges facing the country. “Imran Khan is the only true leader capable of steering the country out of the prevailing crises,” he went on to add.
The advisor reiterated PTI’s stance that the party’s electoral mandate was “stolen through Form 47.” He blamed the current administration for what he described as an assault on democracy and the destruction of state institutions. After an assault on democracy, he said, the “fake” government had caused irreparable damage to all state institutions.
