650 head constables promoted to ASI rank
A departmental promotion committee was organized at the Karachi Police Office under the supervision of Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, which was chaired by the Committee Chairman DIG Admin Zulfiqar Lark.
Other officers of the committee included ADIG Admin Imran Shaukat and ADIG Establishment Arshad Siddiqui. The committee promoted 649 head constables of Karachi Range to the rank of assistant sub-inspectors, while 152 cases were postponed due to various reasons.
Additional IG Odho, while congratulating the promoted officers, directed them to perform their duties with hard work, dedication and honesty. He further emphasized that justice, cooperation and support should be ensured with the public so that the atmosphere of trust between the police and the public can be further strengthened.
