Cop among 3 lose lives in Bara firing
BARA: Three persons, including a cop, lost their lives and two others were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire in the Bara Bazaar in Khyber tribal district on Monday, official and local sources said.
It was learnt, that several people were busy dealing in a motor bargain in Qambarabad area in Bara Bazaarwhen some identified gunmen entered there and opened fire on them.As a result, three persons identified as police cop Abdul Wali, Muhammad Afzal and Qismat Khan lost their lives on the spot while two others Abid Khan and Muhammad Hussain Ghazi sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.The accused escaped after committing the crime.Soon after the incident, the police personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area and collected evidence.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayer for the martyred cop Abdul Wali was offered in Police Line in Levies Centre in ShahkasCapital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Peshawar Qasim Ali, District Police Officer of Khyber Ray Mazhar Iqbal, SP investigation Rahul Amin, Khyber Deputy Commissioner Khyber Bilal Shahid Rao, elders and political leaders attended the funeral prayers.Talking to media persons, CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali assured that culprits would to brought to justice.
