KARACHI PTCL Group and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) held a celebratory event to recognise the achievements of women entrepreneurs empowered through the Ba-Ikhtiar Project, part of the Group’s social impact platform, ‘Dil Se’.
The initiative, which aims to foster financial independence, provides support to women in establishing and managing e-commerce businesses, including assistance with registration and mentorship. The project has expanded to 20 districts, offering a range of skill-building programmes.
The event, held in Islamabad, featured Pakistan’s first AI-powered fashion show, showcasing clothing designs assisted by artificial intelligence (AI). A panel discussion explored global best practices, the role of technology in entrepreneurship and strategies for women’s success.
PTCL Group CEO Hatem Bamatraf talked about the project’s transformative impact, while PPAF CEO Nadir Gul Barech highlighted the importance of partnerships in driving sustainable change. The event also spotlighted success stories, including participants who represented Pakistan at Gitex Global 2024 in Dubai.
