The province of Sindh is rich in natural resources, yet its people live in poverty. The province produces oil, gas, coal, and various minerals, while also boasting fertile agricultural lands. Sindh is not only agriculturally prosperous but also home to key economic hubs like Karachi, the financial centre of the country. But, if we look at its towns and villages of Sindh, we find an acute lack of basic facilities. Have these villages and towns been developed by the representatives chosen by the people, or raised as a topic in significant institutions?
Billions of rupees in revenue are generated from these areas, but are they transformed into model towns and villages with all basic facilities? Have the major issues of Sindh ever been seriously discussed in the federal or Sindh Assembly by those in power? The PPP has been governing Sindh for many years, with a mandate given by the province’s people. It is the responsibility of the party to honour this trust, protect the province’s resources, and ensure the provision of basic facilities in Sindh’s towns and villages.
