Rawalpindi: A training workshop in collaboration with the Society for Human Rights and Prisoners Aid (Sharp) was held here at the Police Lines Headquarters for the capacity building of police investigation officers.
Sharp’s Project Officer Taufiq Ahmed, Project Coordinator Syed Muhammad Saleem, Human Rights Assistant Abdul Haseeb and other representatives delivered lectures on basic human rights and the rights of refugees at the workshop, organized on the instructions of City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani.
Lectures were also given regarding the protection of the rights of the deprived sections of the society, including women, children and transgenders, and good attitude by the police towards citizens.
