Azerbaijan’s ambassador visits Harappa Museum

PAKPATTAN: Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov visited the Harappa Museum here.Archeology Curator of Harappa Museum Ahmed Nawaz Tipu welcomed the distinguished guests and briefed them about the Harappa Museum and the site.

He briefed the guests about the wonderful cultural heritage of Pakistan. The ambassador appreciated the performance of the Archeology Department for maintaining these historical objects and wished to extend more relations between the cultural heritage of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

FAREWELL CEREMONY: A farewell ceremony was held in the honour of Sahiwal DPO Faisal Shahzad and Pakpattan DC Sadia Mehr and DPO Tariq Wilayat who were transferred from their respective districts.

The ceremony was arranged by the Sahiwal district administration. Sahiwal Division Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed and RPO Mehboob Rasheed were the chief guests. Sahiwal Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mehmood, Okara Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed, Sahiwal DPO Rana Tahir Rehman, Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr Saifullah Bhatti, Director Public Relations Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Aitzaz Aslam Marth and Assistant Commissioners were present in the ceremony. Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed and RPO Mehboob Rasheed paid tribute to the services of the transferred officers and appreciated their high administrative skills. The three officers thanked the commissioner and the RPO for their cooperation during their services.
