ICC team inspects Pindi stadium to review CT preparations
ISLAMABAD: The ICC Event Management delegation comprising seven members visited Pindi Stadium to check different facilities,
The visit’s main objective was to suggest adjustments where these were required and to observe preparations for the Champions Trophy getting underway from February 19 at three different venues in the country.
Pindi Stadium will host three matches, Bangladesh vs New Zealand on February 24, Australia vs South Africa on February 25, and Pakistan vs Bangladesh on February 27.
Besides visiting the players’ pavilion and hospitality enclosures, the delegation also saw the media facilities and term these as one of the best around. Pakistan Cricket Board officials Usman Wala (Director International) and Salman Masood were accompanying the delegation.
The ICC delegation left for Lahore on their last leg of visit where on Sunday they will be updated on Gaddafi Stadium’s up-gradation.
All the upgrade work at the Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium Karachi will be completed well before January 31. Pindi Stadium chair-fixing and other related work will be finalized by January 25.
