Maryam launches educational projects in Multan

MULTAN/LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday inaugurated the newly constructed building of Pak-Turk Maarif School and Colleges on Multan Public School Road.

She also visited the Multan University of Science and Technology (MUST), where she inaugurated the Maryam Nawaz Hall and laid the foundation stone of the Maryam Nawaz Sharif Girls Hostel. The hostel, comprising 19 rooms, will feature a mess hall, gymnasium, and entertainment lounge.

During her visit to MUST, the chief minister inspected various departments, including state-of-the-art Google classrooms and the university’s digital library. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Pak-Turk Maarif School, the chief minister expressed gratitude and pride in Multan’s hosting of the event.

She said, “The establishment of Pak-Turk Maarif School is a testament to the deep and enduring friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye.” Maryam Nawaz thanked the Maarif Foundation, saying, “On behalf of the people of Punjab and Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Maarif Foundation. Through Pak-Turk schools and colleges, pathways to progress are being opened not only in Punjab but across the country.” She highlighted the strong ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, emphasising ther shared vision for educational advancement. “The Pak-Turkish friendship will continue to flourish, and together we will work for Pakistan’s development,” she remarked.

During her visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inspected the facilities at Pak-Turk Maarif International School, including its library and other departments. She acknowledged the presence of Turkish Education Minister Professor Yusuf Tekin, calling his attendance a symbol of the strong bond between the two nations. Professor Yusuf Tekin conveyed a goodwill message from President Erdogan and reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in the education sector. An agreement was signed to leverage Türkiye’s expertise in curriculum innovation, mathematics, and other fields. The Turkish education minister invited Maryam Nawaz to visit Türkiye, which she graciously accepted.

Meawnhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated Muhammad Asif on winning the SAARC Snooker Championship.
