250 acre allocated for journalists
LAHORE:The Punjab government Monday allocated 250 acres of land near Thokar Niaz Baig for the Lahore Press Club Housing Scheme, Phase II.
The aspirants who have been issued allotment letters are required to submit the letters at the LPC by January 25. For members, no bank draft will be required during the submission of letters. However, non-members registered under the DGPR must submit their allotment letters at the DGPR office. After the balloting, successful applicants will pay development charges Rs 60,000 each in two installments. The Punjab government will handle the land procurement cost for this scheme, while the members will bear only the development charges. These decisions were made during a meeting of the Punjab Journalists Housing Foundation (PJHF), chaired by Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari.
