MANSEHRA: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hazara Range, Nasir Mehmood Satti on Friday visited the under-construction Balakot Hydropower Project in the district and assured Chinese nationals of foolproof security measures.
“China-Pakistan friendship is everlasting, and I assure you that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have been taking every possible step to ensure your safety and security so you could work with complete peace of mind,” he told Chinese engineers and workers during his visit to the Balakot Hydropower Project.
Accompanied by District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur, the DIG also held a meeting with army personnel to discuss security and other relevant matters. Satti commended the Chinese engineers and workers for contributing to Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
“You have been playing a crucial role in executing energy projects from Mansehra to Kohistan in Hazara division and across the country to address Pakistan’s electricity shortfall. We highly appreciate your efforts and are ready to make every possible sacrifice for your security,” he added.
Addressing the police force deployed for the security of Chinese nationals, Mr Satti emphasised zero tolerance for negligence. “You must ensure that no unauthorised person gains access to the project sites. The mobility of Chinese engineers and workers should be managed under stringent security protocols,” he directed.
