No good options

This refers to the letter ‘Untenable state’ (December 23, 2024) by SRH Hashmi. The writer states that our current dysfunctional state and leadership is no longer tenable. Fair enough. However, the only alternative to the current lot appears to be the PTI, which did not exactly do a great job during its time in power.

Unfortunately, the choices in front of us are not particularly bright or pleasing. Perhaps the type of democracy that we have been practicing all this time is not representative at all but rather self-serving and self-preserving.
