Two new members co-opted into search committee
To make the appointments of chairmen, controllers, secretaries and audit officers at Sindh’s education boards more efficient and transparent, two new members have been co-opted into the committee.
The chief minister approved the summary sent by the universities & boards department recommending the names of NED University Vice Chancellor Dr Sarosh Lodi and former Hyderabad board chairman Dr Muhammad Memon.
The search committee’s permanent members are Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) Chairman Dr Tariq Rafi (committee chairman), Universities & Boards Secretary Abbas Baloch, SHEC Secretary Moin Siddiqui and College Education Secretary Asif Akram.
Interviews for the posts of chairman, controller, secretary and audit officer are likely to start next month. In Sindh’s eight education boards, 217 candidates are in the fray for the chairman post, 35 for the controller post, 28 for the secretary post and 19 for the audit officer post.
